Join us for our May Networking Event for “Creating Outdoor Recreation Economies – CORE” group in Hickory on Wednesday, May 28th, from 6pm – 7:30pm at Lake Hickory Pub & Marina (6706 Limbaugh Lane, Hickory, NC 28601).
This event is an opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and partners in the vibrant outdoor industry in Hickory. Our goal is to foster collaboration, exchange innovative ideas, and collectively explore ways to further boost the outdoor recreation economy in Hickory and the surrounding area. This is a fantastic chance to build relationships, discuss potential collaborations, and contribute to the growth of our local outdoor scene.

Trademark Registration Approval
In the last month, I received trademark approval and registration for both my company name Run2Run and my service mark R2R. This process took 8 months but I’m so happy to have these registrations.
Mountain BizWorks & Made By Mountains Launch Waypoint Resilience Cohort
Applications are now open through June 1st for the Waypoint Resilience Cohort — a refreshed special edition of the Waypoint Accelerator, designed for outdoor industry businesses navigating recovery after Helene. In a supportive community of peers and expert mentors, participants will gain leadership & financial clarity, strengthen their team & operations, build smart marketing strategies and create a clear, sustainable path forward. Plus — every accepted participant receives a $5,000 grant to fuel their growth and recovery. A limit of 20 companies will be selected. The cohort starts July 9th.
